Why did Snapchat ban me for no reason?

Short answerSnapchat doesn’t always explain a lock, so it can feel like there was no reason. Common triggers people report include unofficial third-party apps or tweaks, automated-looking activity such as adding many friends quickly, a hacked or shared account, reports from other users, and a phone that was previously blocked. If you believe it’s a mistake, appeal through Snapchat’s official support.

Snapchat says it removes violating content, notifies the user and records a strike, and that too many strikes can lead to an account being disabled. Some serious violations lead to an account being disabled straight away.

You may never get a detailed reason. Focus on what you can control: check for anything on the list above, secure your email and phone number, and send one clear appeal.
