iPhones stabilise video automatically, but it can’t remove all movement. Action mode adds stronger stabilisation for very shaky situations, at a slightly reduced field of view.

Why is my iPhone video shaky?
Short answerHandheld walking and fast movement cause shake. Use a stand, hold the phone with both hands close to your body, walk with bent knees, or try Action mode on iPhone 14 and later.
