Why does my iPhone video flicker under lights?

Short answerMany indoor lights flicker at the mains frequency (50 Hz in Australia, the UK and Europe; 60 Hz in North America). If your frame rate doesn’t match, you see bands or flicker. In 50 Hz countries, try 25 or 50 fps: turn on Settings › Camera › Record Video › Show PAL Formats.

Some cheap LED bulbs flicker more than others. Daylight never flickers.
